This is the Clifford 2025 USB-C Version of the HackRF compatible with the H2M and H4M portapacks.
This is a Standalone Board! it does not come with a case or with the portapack. It is being sold separately as an upgrade mod.
This is a parallel evolution from the “R5 Revision” HackRF board with protections on the RF input with a USB-C interface instead of the legacy MicroUSB that previous revisions included.
What’s Included:
- One (1) Clifford USB-C HackRF Board with Clock SMA Jacks Unsoldered
- Two (2) SMA jacks that can be soldered onto the clock pads on the bottom if it is desired
What’s needed for installation (not included!):
- An appropriate screwdriver (Phillips, etc.)
- A soldering Iron (if you wish to solder on the SMA Jacks prior to installation)
- Patience
Installation Instructions:
- Remove the 4 Screws from the front cover of your HackRF H2M/H4M
- Remove the Front Faceplate.
- Separate the PortaPack from the HackRF board by gently pulling the boards apart slowly (try not to bend the pins)
- Remove the 4 screws from the back cover of the HackRF H2M/H4M
- Remove the retaining nut from the Antenna SMA connector
- Loosen the retaining nuts on the Clock IN / Clock OUT ports on the bottom of the HackRF
- Remove from Casing.
- Install the new board, and repeat steps above in reverse order to reassemble.
You will need to flash the latest HackRF Firmware onto the board using DFU Mode. The board is UNFLASHED by default. No support is provided for flashing the boards.
