Rabbit-Labs Export Policy
Purpose
Rabbit-Labs sells electronics and related products to customers in the United States and internationally. We take export compliance, sanctions compliance, and fraud prevention seriously. This Export Policy explains the information we may collect, the checks we may perform, and the circumstances under which we may hold, cancel, or refuse orders.
Compliance Framework
Rabbit-Labs complies with applicable U.S. export laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as well as applicable sanctions and restricted party requirements. By placing an order, you agree to comply with all applicable export/import laws and confirm that you are eligible to receive the products.
Restricted Party / Sanctions Screening
To help ensure compliance, we may screen orders, customers, and shipment details against restricted party and sanctions lists (for example, denied persons, blocked entities, and other restricted parties).
If screening indicates a potential match or elevated risk, we may:
- Place the order on hold while we verify information
- Request additional documentation or clarification
- Cancel the order and refund the original payment method
Forwarders, Reshippers, and Routed Transactions
Rabbit-Labs may ship orders that involve reshipping services, freight forwarders, package forwarding companies, consolidation services, or similar third parties (“Forwarders”), but only under strict conditions.
If we identify or reasonably suspect that an order is addressed to, routed through, or intended for a Forwarder, we may place the order on hold and require additional information before shipment.
Required Ultimate Consignee Information (KYC)
For compliance and recordkeeping, we may require full information for the ultimate consignee (the final recipient overseas), which may include:
- Full legal name
- Complete overseas physical address (not the Forwarder address)
- Email address and/or phone number
- A brief statement of intended end use
We require complete and accurate information so we can screen the ultimate consignee against restricted party lists and maintain appropriate records.
Additional Verification (ID / Business Documentation)
For higher-risk orders or where additional verification is required for compliance or fraud prevention, we may request additional documentation, which may include:
- A copy of a government-issued photo ID (for individuals)
- Business registration documentation and/or proof of authority to purchase (for businesses)
- Additional information needed to verify identity, end use, and end user
Response Deadline
If we request KYC, ultimate consignee information, or any additional verification, you must provide the requested information within 3 business days. If you do not respond within that timeframe, we may cancel the order and issue a refund to the original payment method.
False, Incomplete, or Inconsistent Information
Providing false, incomplete, misleading, or inconsistent information in connection with KYC, ultimate consignee details, or verification requests is grounds for immediate order cancellation and refund. Rabbit-Labs may also refuse future orders where we cannot verify compliance or where we identify elevated risk.
No Diversion / No Substitution of Recipient
- You may not divert, transfer, re-export, or deliver the products to anyone other than the ultimate consignee on record.
- If we suspect the items may be diverted to any person or entity other than the ultimate consignee provided, we may cancel the order.
Address Changes and Compliance Review
- We generally do not allow changes to the shipping address, recipient name, or routing details after an order is placed.
- Any request to change the shipping address, recipient name, or routing details after an order is placed may trigger additional compliance review and/or new verification requirements.
- We may refuse address-change requests, place the order on hold, or cancel and refund the order if we cannot verify the updated details to our satisfaction or if the change increases compliance or fraud risk.
Delivery and Risk of Loss When a Forwarder Is Used
If an order is shipped to a Forwarder, delivery to the Forwarder (as shown by carrier tracking and/or proof of delivery) is considered final delivery to you. Rabbit-Labs is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, tampering, delays, missing items, or customs issues that occur after delivery to the Forwarder.
Red Flags and Order Holds
We may hold, cancel, or refuse any order at our discretion if we identify red flags or suspicious activity, including (but not limited to):
- Shipping/billing mismatches or inconsistent customer information
- Requests to undervalue shipments, misstate contents, or alter customs documentation
- Unusual order patterns (multiple high-value orders in a short period, repeated failed payments, etc.)
- Refusal to provide requested KYC/ultimate consignee information
- Any indication the order may be intended for a restricted party or prohibited end use
Customs Declarations
Rabbit-Labs declares shipments accurately. We do not mark orders as gifts, undervalue shipments, or falsify customs forms. Requests to do so will be denied and may result in cancellation.
Customer Responsibilities (International Orders)
- You are responsible for complying with all import laws and regulations in your destination country.
- You are responsible for all duties, taxes, tariffs, VAT/GST, brokerage fees, and other import-related charges unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout.
- If a shipment is refused, abandoned, seized, or returned due to unpaid fees or import restrictions, we may deduct shipping/handling and return costs from any refund where refunds are permitted.
Right to Refuse Service
Rabbit-Labs reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit orders and shipments at our discretion to maintain compliance, reduce fraud risk, and protect our business.
