Product Safety Information
Important Safety Guidelines
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS BEFORE USE
Charging Safety
- Use only approved chargers: Charge LIR2032 batteries with chargers specifically designed for 3.6V lithium-ion coin cells
- Never use standard CR2032 chargers: LIR2032 batteries require different charging parameters than disposable batteries
- Charging voltage: Do not exceed 4.2V during charging
- Charging current: Use appropriate low-current charging (typically 10-20mA)
- Never leave unattended: Monitor batteries during charging and charge in a fire-safe location
- Temperature: Charge only in ambient temperatures between 0°C and 45°C (32°F to 113°F)
Usage Warnings
- Voltage compatibility: LIR2032 batteries output 3.6V nominal vs. 3.0V for standard CR2032. Verify your device can safely accept higher voltage before use
- Not compatible with all devices: Some devices designed for 3.0V CR2032 batteries may be damaged by 3.6V LIR2032 batteries. Check manufacturer specifications
- Polarity: Always install with correct polarity. Reversed installation may damage battery or device
- Do not mix: Never mix rechargeable LIR2032 with non-rechargeable CR2032 batteries in the same device
Storage and Handling
- Storage temperature: Store in a cool, dry place between -20°C and +25°C (-4°F to 77°F)
- Partial charge for storage: Store at 40-60% charge for optimal longevity
- Keep away from metal objects: Prevent short circuits by storing away from coins, keys, or other conductive materials
- Original packaging: Store in original packaging or insulated battery case when not in use
Critical Warnings – DO NOT:
- DO NOT attempt to recharge non-rechargeable CR2032 batteries
- DO NOT dispose of in fire—batteries may explode or release toxic fumes
- DO NOT puncture, crush, disassemble, or modify batteries
- DO NOT expose to water or excessive moisture
- DO NOT short circuit terminals
- DO NOT expose to temperatures above 60°C (140°F)
- DO NOT use damaged, swollen, or leaking batteries
- DO NOT allow children to handle batteries without supervision
In Case of Emergency
- Leakage: Avoid contact with battery contents. If contact occurs, wash immediately with soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists
- Fire: Use dry chemical, CO2, or foam extinguisher. Do not use water
- Swelling or damage: Discontinue use immediately and dispose of properly
- Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention. Batteries can cause serious internal burns
Disposal
- Recycle responsibly: Do not dispose of in regular trash
- Local regulations: Follow local regulations for lithium-ion battery disposal
- Battery recycling: Take to designated battery recycling centers or hazardous waste facilities
- Discharge before disposal: Fully discharge batteries before recycling when possible
