There Are Some Things Money Can't Buy, For Everything Else There's Multi Pass
What is it?
Based on the original work of Samy K., the Rabbit-Labs MagSpoof board emulates a card swipe by transmitting card track data using mag fields. While mostly replaced by EMV technology, you can still find magswipe readers at places such as the grocery store, hotel doors, and your local arcade. While the flipper MagSpoof app does support use of the onboard antenna and coils to perform this action it is advised not to use them as the internal radios can be irreversibly damaged; this board eliminates that risk.
Why did you make it?
I started this project back in February after one of our Discord members posted a write up on Samy K's. research asking if it would be possible to build such a board for the flipper. This board is the result of trial & error and multiple revisions.
What makes it special?
Each board is hand soldered, hand made, and tested by Rabbit-Labs. Unlike other MagSpoof boards, this board was designed to swipe much like a credit card using a PCB being no thicker than a credit card itself. This allows for a more reliable emulation even on readers that have shielding around the chassis. The board also features two over sized capacitors to maximize the magnetic field generated by the board on each spoof. Also, only genuine top of the line Driver ICs and components were used in creation of these boards.
Instructions for use:
You'll need to be running a copy of the MagSpoof flipper app fork by HummusSec. You can obtain this from their GitHub and compile it yourself for the firmware of your choosing including official firmware, or you can run the latest version of Roguemaster or the S branch of Unleashed, the app is also easily installable on the dev branch of the Xtreme firmware. The app by HummusSec is very much a work in progress, and currently very bugy, therefore, your mileage may vary.
