▌PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

>> YOUR FLIPPER’S NFC JUST GOT LOUDER. <<

The Flipper Zero’s built-in NFC antenna works. But “works” and “works well” are two very different things. If you’ve ever had to press your Flipper flat against a card reader and hold your breath while it struggles to get a clean read, or watched an emulation fail because you were half an inch too far from the target, you already know the problem.

The MidWestGadgets Flipper Zero NFC Field Enhancer fixes it. No firmware. No apps. No configuration. Peel. Stick. Done.

This is not a sticker. It’s a flex PCB. Two precision layers of polyimide with a tuned passive antenna resonating at 13.56MHz (+/- 0.150MHz). When your Flipper’s NFC field activates, this antenna resonates in sympathy, reshaping and concentrating the 13.56MHz field into a tighter, stronger pattern. The result: better read range, stronger emulation output, and more reliable card interaction at distances where the stock antenna falls short.

Custom-fit for the Flipper Zero. This isn’t a generic NFC booster slapped on with hope. The PCB is precision-cut to the exact profile of the Flipper Zero’s back panel. It seats perfectly, stays flat, and doesn’t interfere with the case, buttons, GPIO header, or any other functionality. Attach it with the included 3M high-temperature adhesive and forget about it. It’s part of the Flipper now.

Fully passive. Zero power draw. The Field Enhancer draws nothing from your battery. It’s a resonant antenna element that only activates in the presence of a 13.56MHz field. When the NFC radio is off, the enhancer is inert. When the radio fires, the enhancer amplifies and shapes the field automatically. No switches. No menus. No drain.

Compatible with all Flipper Zero firmware (Official, Momentum, Unleashed, RogueMaster, Xtreme, and any other build). Compatible with all Flipper Zero hardware revisions. If it runs NFC, this enhancer works with it.

Designed by HamSpiced at MidWestGadgets and available through Rabbit-Labs.

A note from Hamspiced: shoutout to some of my close and personal friends that have helped support me in my journey to DEF CON.  Without them I wouldn’t have been able to make it this far.  Major thanks to C$, Equip, Peekaboo, SkonSolo, uWu_CrackiiN, Rabbit-Labs, Rocketgod, Xemon@Lab42 and the entire Pirates Plunder crew <3

A note on the DEF CON 33 Edition: The previous version of this product featured exclusive DEF CON 33 branding, custom Defcon Jack artwork, and easter-egg shoutouts on the backside. That version is sold out and will not be restocked. This is the standard production version of the same Field Enhancer. Identical technology, identical performance, identical fit. Same flex PCB. Same tuned antenna. Same results. The only difference is cosmetic: no DEF CON branding, no easter eggs. If you grabbed one of the DC33 editions, you’ve got a piece of con history. If you missed it, you haven’t missed the performance. This is the same tool.

▌README.TXT – INSTALLATION & USE

Step 1: Clean the Surface Power off your Flipper Zero. Remove any case or silicone sleeve. Clean the back panel of the Flipper with isopropyl alcohol (90%+) and a lint-free cloth. The surface must be completely clean, dry, and free of oil, dust, or residue for the 3M adhesive to bond properly.

Step 2: Align Position the Field Enhancer on the back of the Flipper Zero. The PCB is cut to match the Flipper’s profile. Align all edges before making contact. You get one shot at placement. Once the 3M adhesive makes contact, repositioning will weaken the bond.

Step 3: Press & Bond Once aligned, press the enhancer firmly and evenly onto the back panel. Apply pressure across the entire surface for 15-30 seconds. Pay extra attention to the edges and corners to ensure full adhesive contact.

Step 4: Use That’s it. Power on your Flipper Zero and use NFC as you normally would. The Field Enhancer is always working when the NFC radio is active. No settings to change. No apps to install. Focus your reads and emulations near the center of the enhancer’s antenna area for best results.

PRO TIP: The enhancer concentrates the NFC field. When reading or emulating, use the center of the enhancer as your focus point against the target reader or card. This is where field strength is highest.

▌DEBUG LOG – TROUBLESHOOTING

ISSUE: No noticeable improvement in NFC range. FIX: The improvement is real but subtle. It’s not going to turn your Flipper into a 10-foot NFC cannon. Typical improvement is a few centimeters of additional reliable range and more consistent reads/emulations at the edge of the stock antenna’s capability. Test by reading a card at increasing distances with and without the enhancer. Also confirm the enhancer is properly bonded flat (no air gaps or lifted edges).

ISSUE: Enhancer is peeling off the Flipper. FIX: The back panel wasn’t properly cleaned before application, or the adhesive didn’t get enough initial pressure. Remove the enhancer carefully, clean both surfaces with IPA, apply fresh 3M double-sided adhesive tape (VHB or high-temp rated), and reinstall with firm, even pressure. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to reach full bond strength before heavy use.

ISSUE: Enhancer interferes with my silicone case. FIX: The enhancer adds a thin layer to the back panel. Most standard silicone cases will still fit over it with no issue. Tight-fitting or rigid cases may need slight adjustment. If your case won’t close, try reinstalling the case with the enhancer in place to see if it seats with gentle pressure. If not, the enhancer works fine without a case.

ISSUE: NFC stopped working after installing the enhancer. FIX: The enhancer is a passive resonant element. It cannot cause the NFC radio to stop functioning. If NFC stopped working, the issue is elsewhere: firmware glitch, software crash, or hardware fault. Restart the Flipper Zero. If the problem persists, try removing the enhancer and testing again. If NFC still doesn’t work without the enhancer, the issue is with the Flipper itself.

ISSUE: The enhancer doesn’t look like the DEF CON 33 version I saw online. THIS IS NOT A DEFECT. The DEF CON 33 branded edition is sold out. This is the standard production version. Same technology, same performance, different cosmetics. No Defcon Jack artwork, no easter eggs on the back. The product you received is correct.

▌SYS.WARN – WARNINGS, HAZARDS & DISCLAIMERS

Passive Device. This product is a passive resonant antenna. It does not store, transmit, intercept, or process any data. It does not contain any active electronics, firmware, or software. It does not independently generate any RF signal.

Permanent Installation. The 3M adhesive bond is designed to be semi-permanent. Removal may leave adhesive residue on the Flipper Zero’s back panel and could potentially damage delicate surface finishes. Remove with care. Rabbit-Labs LLC is not responsible for cosmetic damage resulting from installation or removal.

Not Waterproof. The Field Enhancer is a flex PCB and is not sealed against moisture. Do not submerge or expose to prolonged water contact. Moisture on the PCB or between the PCB and the Flipper can cause NFC performance degradation.
