Rabbit-Labs was built upon the true
“hacker mindset”
Rabbit-Labs is a collective of great minds. Rabbit-Labs is the gathering of people from all walks of life who love to explore tech and share novel ideas and discoveries.
Rabbit-Labs isn’t just a brand, it’s a lifestyle of pushing the boundaries of what is possible and never taking the easy route or cutting corners.
Our Story
It was 2022 – when TehRabbitt, like many other people, turned to the internet searching for GPIO boards for this thing called a “Flipper” that he had finally received. He quickly discovered that at the time, options for “quality” boards were limited; tons of scams, and below-par products. After meeting up with SomeTomS, SusCloudz, and SkonSolo on Discord, other sellers of hardware and 3D printed cases, TehRabbitt realized that the community needed a place where people felt safe to talk and ask about technical things, without drama, politics: A true place to learn and talk tech. Together, the four of them started a discord server together with a single focus on learning and sharing knowledge.
In January of 2023, Rabbit-Labs was officially born in a small apartment garage no larger than 100 square feet in Sayreville, NJ. TehRabbitt spent countless nights in that garage, soldering each board by hand, one at a time, testing, cleaning, and shipping all himself, while working full time, 9 to 5. A few months later as the Rabbit-Labs Brand expanded and the workload became too much for one person alone, TehRabbitt approached his fiancé, PinkFoxx, and asked if she would be interested in helping join the cause. As TehRabbitt continued to work on expanding the product offerings, he overhauled and optimized the build process and PinkFoxx took charge of Customer service, shipping, and even board preparation and finishing as time went on. Rabbit-Labs had shipped thousands of boards, to over 100 countries worldwide; Even the north Pole! Rabbit-Labs was thriving – a well-oiled machine working out of a small garage by the hands of two people.
Eventually, though, all good things must come to an end – A pipe burst in November of 2023 causing Rabbit-Labs to briefly shut down operations for almost a week in December of 2023. At first, many feared if this would be the end of Rabbit-Labs. PinkFoxx however was determined that this “was only the beginning” and just a sign that we had outgrown the small garage we started in. It was only a day later that PinkFoxx and TehRabbitt Signed a lease and moved operations to a larger, dedicated space: a real home for Rabbit-Labs.
The flooded garage turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it provided us the ability to expand our offerings, to apparel, swag like keychains and mugs, but also educational kits and boards for other microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
While we are now in a better location, we are still only two people designing, building, cleaning, testing, and shipping boards, all while maintaining our 9-5 full-time jobs.
Our Core Values
Inclusion – We strive to be a place of learning, and a community free of drama and politics. The culture of Rabbit-Labs’ community is a direct result of how we collaborate and share our perspectives and ideas with an openness for others to do the same. We welcome the unique contributions that you bring to the community in terms of your education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs.
Integrity – We stand behind our products and will make things right if they go wrong. Additionally, While the saying “the customer is always right” is often thrown around, we believe that even when the customer isn’t right, it is our responsibility to educate, inform, and assist the customer in knowing why, or how to remediate the situation.
Empathy – We too are customers, and users of the same products we sell and support. We keep this in mind when we answer tickets, e-mails, or phone calls. We remind ourselves that our end-users are people too and build products to be as fairly priced, and thoughtful as possible.
Quality – No room to cut corners. We will never sacrifice quality, even If it means sacrificing profit. “Buy It for Life” is a phrase that hits home. While some could argue being “first to market” is the most important thing; We disagree. We want to be sure the product we offer, is the best available, at the fairest price with no sacrifices to quality.
Transparency – Despite what some people may think, we are not robots or AI. We too are human, and we make mistakes, and when we do: we own it. No smoke and mirrors here, no hoops to jump through to get answers – We tell it as it is, and are the first to admit when we are wrong.
“I wish more business’s cared about there customers like RabbitLabs does. Even after the sale they still provide fantastic customer service!”
